Flackangell

Don Flack and Jessica Angell are the two detectives for the CSI:NY team. Their ship first started in the Season Four episode "Commuted Sentences", where there was a rather flirtatious scene between them (the picture above).

4x07 - Commuted Sentences

FLACK: Four older brothers and a detective sergeant for a father? Your old man dust you for prints when you got home from a date?
ANGELL: If it was up to them I wouldn't have known boys existed until I was 21.
FLACK: I bet the boys knew you existed.
ANGELL: (pauses, smiling) Was that a line, Flack? Did you just bust out your game on me?
FLACK: (looks away grinning) What?
ANGELL: It was, wasn't it? Look at you! (laughs) You're blushing.
FLACK: My game. Game, what game? I don't have a game. If I did that's probably as good as it gets.
ANGELL: I think it's pretty good.

When suspect Amber interrupts them right after this conversation, they both look increasingly annoyed. Angell in particular when Amber refers to Flack as Angell's "boyfriend".

4x13 - All in the Family

Angell gives Flack a little look when she asks him how he got to the crime scene so fast. At the end of the episode, Flack tells her that he was in on his day off because something happened with Danny, and that he'd tell her later over an Irish coffee. She responds that she knows "just the place". Flack calls her "Jess"- the first time her name has been said onscreen- later on in the scene.

4x15 - DOA for a Day
DOAForADayFlack/Angell

Flack and Angell are putting on bulletproof vests, getting ready to enter a building:

ANGELL: (glances up and sees Flack looking at her) What?
FLACK: You look good in a vest.
(Angell laughs.)

AnAt interestingthe pointstart toof makethe episode, when Flack is thatbriefing everyone about the strategy, Angell stopscomes over and explains that the perimeter is clear. However, it does look as though she is laughingchecking abruptlyhim out when Dannyhe is talking. Also, futher through the episode, they are getting ready to enter the building when Angell catches Flack checking her out, and Lindsay'sasks car"What?" pullshe smirks, and just replied, "You look good in a vest". Alsthough she laughs, up,she stops as soon as Danny and Lindsay arrived, as if she didn't want them to ask what was funny.

4x20 - Taxi

After having a funny conversation about Flack's prom night with his date, ("Makes prom night with Bianca DiFazio in the back of my father's caddy seem like it never happened", "back of your fathers caddy?", "It was either that or my Pontiac Sunburst..."), Angell pulls Flack out of the way of a speeding taxi. Later, Flack furiously tells the taxi driver that "the same guy that killed [the victim] almost ran down me and my partner with a cab". While this isn't necessarily "shippy", some fans have said that Flack's anger is somewhat fueled by the fact that Angell could have been injured. However, since he was also almost hit this is a weakly-considered "shippy" scene.

5x07 - Dead InsideF/A Kiss

ThisIn istheir first scene together, after giving Flack the episodecase-related forinformation, Jess everyexplains loversshe F/A,met becausehis insister, after an incident involving "a beer bottle colliding with the endwindshield of thisour car". When she explains that they didn't bring sam in, Flack asks, "Why didn't you call me, Jess?" epiand explains that their father has nothing to do with Sam anymore, thanks to her behaviour, and wonders whether he (jr) did the right thing by sticking by his little sister.

In their second scene, it is the ultimate FA moment. Flack leaves the offices where he followed Sam to an AA meeting, where Angell is waiting. He explains that "He thought he needed a ride, but..." he doesn't finish his sentence, but she knows what he's going to say, and simply checks that "he and Sam are gonna be okay?" and when he deflects, she presses him with, "YOU gonna be okay?" once she's satisfied, they share an intense look, before parting ways.
BUT...
Flack kissseems to stop, and turn around, calling out, "Jess." It is clear that this is personal, and nothing to do with the label 'Detective'. He then KISSES her TWICE on the lips, leaving her Angell.slightly stunned...
He thanks her, and leaves, barely breaking eye contact as he does so. She turns, a smile on her face and gets in the car.

SQUEE. Cannon, baby!

5x13 - Rush To Judgement

This is the episode where Angell and Flack actually confirm out loud that they are seeing each other. When Jess asks who in the department knows that they are seeing each other (because they were trying to keep it quite-under wraps), Don tells her that, being on the rubber gun squad, he has more important things to worry about than office gossip. Jess quickly agrees.

5x20 - Prey

Jess and DonJess and DonFlack and Angell are defintely dating because they make out on what I would assume is Flack's bed, in his apartment. It's obvious that Jess spent the night because the only thing she's wearing is a shirt (probably one of Don's). When Flack comes back from getting double lattes, Angell greets him by saying "I've got a better idea for a wake-up call" and drags Flack into the bedroom where they make out. Then when Don has to answer his phone, Jess handcuffs one of his wrists to the bed and says, "Don't make me cuff the other hand". To this, Don replies, "That's good work, detective".

5x25 - Pay UpFlack and Angell - CSI: NY | CSI: New York

In this tragic episode, Jessica Angell dies in the line of duty.
