CSI: NY is aired by the Irish television network RTÉ Two on Thursday nights at 9:55 PM.
The fourth season is currently being repeated until the broadcasting rights for the sixth season are sold by CBS. This is likely to be in the New Year.
Irish Connections: As you all may know, AJ Buckley (aka Adam Ross) is originally from Dublin. His family emmigrated to British Columbia, Canada when he was six. He has the Buckley (which is an Irish name - Ó Buachalla) family crest tattooed on his right biceps. He says that sometimes when he talks on the phone to his parents, his accent still comes back to him. "How ya Ma, how ya Da." He can do a real Irish accent, I have heard it! It's genuine!!
Eddie Cahill's father is Irish (aparently from Co. Clare, I have yet to confirm this). Eddie has brought this into his CSI character Flack, who has some degree of knowlege of the Irish language. Flack is seen drinking Guinness (which he referrs to as "A pint of the Good Stuff," in the season 3 episode '.... Comes Around'.
When asked if he speaks Irish Cahill says "No, I don't speak Irish. I've been around people who actually speak Irish, but it's not a language I speak." He says "It is an odd skill, shared by Flack and .05% of the world's population! " The latter is true, 0.05% is an acurate figure also! Now we know that Eddie is good at maths. ;)
