Jennifer Angell Pictures/Emmanuelle Vaugier - CSI: NY | CSI: New York
What Do We Know About Jessica Angell:
Angell is a detective 3rd Grade in the Detective Unit of the NYPD. Benton was her training officer pre-season 3, where she then started working solo. She became Flack's partner sometime through season 4. She can speak fluent French, and has a flower tattoo around her left wrist.

Back Story:
Jess grew up in a house with four older brothers, and her father was a Detective Sergent named Cliff Angell. Her mother is named Sherry Angell, and her family is Catholic, though it's probable she is not still a practising Catholic. Her father didn't want her to date until she was twenty-one, and wanted her to enjoy girly activities such as girl scouts, whereas she ended up becoming a shortstop on a baseball team, and becoming a Detective though none of her brothers wanted to join the police. Her birthday is 9th February, and she was born 1981, making her 25 when she first qualified as a detective in the Detective Unit. She speaks fluent French (Communication Breakdown) and is very self-confident.
Work Style:
She is sarcastic and witty, and takes no prisoners when it comes to interrogation. Though she seems to appreciate legwork and traditional police work as the main part of crime-solving, she is open to scientific methods, and openly asks the CSI's and offers ideas. She knows how to fight and is confident with a gun.

Relationships:
She has flirted with Flack somewhat, mainly in Commuted Sentences, where they share a flirtatious scene in the car on a stakeout where he expresses his attraction to her, or at least his appreciation of her looks. They continue to have a few scenes, such as when he asks her for Irish coffee, and when he admires her when they are getting ready for a raid. Jess meets Flack's sister Sam at some point and avoids giving her a drunk&disorderly, leading to minor tension between her and Flack when she tells him, as this confirms his fears about his sister's way of life. Later that episode, Flack calls her to pick him up after he finds out his sister is an alcoholic, and he kisses her. After the kiss, she entered a relationship with Flack - something they both kept quiet and didn't even openly confirm to their friends at the lab. This created a slight strain between the two of them when her witness statement regarding Flack's case with IA was called into question because of rumours regarding their relationships. However the relationship continues to stay strong throughout the rest of her time, as he seems quite protective of her in the latter part of season 5.

She seems to get on better with men than women, possibly a result of growing up in a male-dominated family, and learning tomboy sports, such as baseball. She has had little interraction with Lindsay, as their cases have rarely crossed paths. She is close friends with Stella, as she helps her out on an off-books case, which could have ultimately cost her her job, and may have told about her relationship with Don, as Stella knows how much he cares about her. She gets along well with Mac, who once saved her life froma booby-trapped shotgun and has a teasing and fun relationship with both Mac and Danny - Danny is also devastated when she dies.

This is so terrible. I found Angell one of the nicest characters and then she dies. Why they don't shoot Hawkes. He is so boring and ugly.
