I don't know how to tell her. It's only three words Danny, come on.
Danny thinks to himself. He is trying to pluck up enough courage to tell Lindsay how he feels. He is in the locker room in the New York crime lab and she walks in.
"Oh, hey Danny, what are you doing down here?" she asks. "oh..umm i'm, uhh, just cleaning out my locker." he replies nervously. He opens his locker and empties it infront of him. "oh, okay, but what were you just doing, you we sitting down not cleaning. Danny whats wrong with you lately. I mean we have been seeing each other for over 6 months now." she says worried that he might break up with her. "I know Lindsay, and i have no regrets i keep telling you, please dont get worried, i just have something on my mind." He says, taking her by the hands apologetically. "Well you can tell me. i thought we could tell each other everything?" she looks down as she says this. Danny kisses her on her head, "don't worry montana, im not gonna mess up with you again, give me time and i will come to you when im ready." he says, she smiles as he calls her Montana and kisses him gently, teasing him. "Oooh...i can't wait to see you tonight.." he closes his eyes smiling at the kiss. "well, you better get cleaning, messer, and i better get back to work." she smirks and leaves, he doesnt stop looking at her until she leaves the locker room.

I have to tell her tonight. Ohh but i haven't ever said this to a girl before. But she is different. I love her.

He continues to put the stuff back in his locker, messily. "cleaning out my locker, what was i thinking, she would never have believed that, i mean come on!" he mumbles under his breath.
He goes upstairs to see if there is any cases he can help with. But there isn't and he is told to go home. He gets his stuff from the locker then goes past the lab where Lindsay is. "I'm off babe." he says smiling. "Shh don't call me that in front of people! but bye, see you tonight? your place or mine?" she says giggling. "don't worry, nobody heard me. Sexy! and umm mine" he laughs to himself and winks at her. She blushes and throws her gloves at him. He waves bye and leaves. She shakes her head to herself and laughs a bit.

Later in Danny's flat, he is setting up the table with roses and wine, then he throws some rose petals on the bed. "well i think that's romantic enough" he says to himself. Then there is a knock at the door. He goes to answer it, Lindsay is standing there in a black dress. " Wow..you look...amazing!" he says letting her in and looking her up and down. "If i knew you were gonna dress up, i would've made an effort." he says to her laughing.

He takes her coat and puts it in the coat cupboard. "Well my mother sent it up and told me to have a good night out, so i thought i would let you see it first." She says smiling. "Fine by me, it looks sexy on you." he watches her walk to the table. "wow, all this for me, i didn't realise this was a special occasion, its lovely." she says, smelling one of the roses and smiling at him. "Well anything for you, I've been needing--" he is cut of by the oven timer. He rushes over and takes out the casserole dish with no oven gloves. "Owww! that was hot!!" he says as he puts it down and shakes his hand. "well that was stupid Danny, use oven gloves" she giggles but goes over and takes a look at his hand. "its fine, you were saying that you needed too do something?" she says curiously. He looks nervous and tell her to take a seat while he gets everything ready. She goes and sits, taking out a rose and smelling it.

About 30 minutes later, mid-way through their meal Lindsay says "So, Danny what are you needing to do then? It's not good to keep a country girl waiting" she smirks. Danny gets even more nervous and wipes the little droplets of sweat off of his head. "Danny, whats wrong? please, I'm worried now" she says looking at him. "Nothings wrong, I'm just...hot thats all." he clears his throat. "Lindsay, i've been meaning to tell you something now for the past 2 months, but i haven't had enough courage...but i think i do now. Seeing you here, looking amazing..i just can't believe my luck, meeting you. I never thought i would meet anyone as special to me as you are." he stops to look at her reaction. She is smiling, just the way he likes. She is looking at him with so much love in her eyes and he sees this. "Danny, im glad to have met you too, your just amazing, helping me through all my troubles." she smiles at him, he takes her hand across the table. "i have never said this to anyone before Lindsay, and i have never heard my self be this serious in any situation. But Lindsay..i think, no i know that i have fallen in love with you. I love you so much , it hurts when im not with you ..." he looks at her, then down, feeling embarrassed that he has let himself feel vulnerable infront of her. She looks at him, then stands.

" i understand if i have scared you off, linds. You can go if you want." he says, still looking down. " Why would i leave, when the man that i love has just told me that he loves me too." she walks over to him and holds his hand, encouraging him to stand up. He stands and looks her in the eyes. " you mean it?" he whispers. "Of course i do Danny, i love you" she says pulling him in for a kiss, he returns it, and it gets passionate. He pulls her to the sofa, still kissing her. They sit facing each other, continuing to make out. Lindsay comes away for breath. "wow. that was amazing." she says, breathlessly. She sits on him, and kisses him, running her hands through his hair. "lindsay...i love you..." he says between the kisses. "i love you too Danny." she stops kissing him and gets up off him and sits next to him, leaning her head on his shoulders. "a whole night to us. No calls from the lab." she says hopefully. He gets up and unplugs the phone line and turns off his mobile. "Nope, not tonight." he puts an arm around her. " im so glad i told you. I was so nervous that you would run a mile," he giggles. She looks up at him, "i would never do that. Your my guy Danny Messer" she smiles. "and you my girl, montana." he laughs.

They sit there for another hour, just talking about everything. Getting to know each others pasts, the good and the bad. Then finally Danny says, looking at his watch, "wow, its 12.30 montana, im so tired. What time is your shift tomorrow?". "i start at 1.30. What about yours?" she asks looking at him and sitting up. "umm i think its 12. Well at least we can have the morning together. Hmm i wonder what we can do with ourselves." he smirks at his own thoughts. "well whatever you are thinking. it can wait because i am getting really uncomfortable on this sofa, and i just love how comfortable your bed is.. wanna join me?" she asks seductively, with a smile on her face. "do you really need to ask? i have been waiting to get that dress off you since you came through the door." he laughs and stands up, pulling her up by the hand. "lets go then babe" she says and follows him closely to his room. The start to kiss and take off each others clothes...

The next morning, Lindsay is the first to wake. She tries to get up without waking him, but he has his arm wrapped around her waist, and as she moves he stirs and wakens. "Are you trying to escape me?" he laughs sleepily. "never. but i do need the toilet" she giggles, he lets her go and she wraps the spare blanket around her and goes to the bathroom. Danny got up and put his boxers on. He goes and puts the kettle on. Lindsay comes through and smiles, leaning on the doorway. "messer, what are you doing?" she smirks. "Well im making coffee, why, are you up for something else? Tea..toast..or a kiss from your guy?" he says, getting cocky with himself. "umm i think..the last one, deffiantly." she walks towards him and puts her arms around him, going up on her tiptoes. "Good, i was hoping you would say that." They share a few moments of kissing. "mmm...you taste..amazing Danny. i can't get enough" she giggles to herself. He takes her hand and pulls her back through to the bedroom, pulling her to the bed. "so do you babe...i love you" he says smiling at her.

And you were scared to tell her that you loved her. Well look what kinda night that got you! And all you had to do was mention those 3 words. He thought to himself, whilst things got heated...
